UNITY CONSCIOUSNESS IS THE NEXT STEP IN OUR EVOLUTION
There has been a great deal of talk lately about the Mayan Calendar, and its portentous “end date” coming up in 2012. And there is a great deal of confusion understanding this great instrument of time-keeping. As the Maya understood it, humankind’s spiritual evolution lies at the heart of the history of the cosmos. Linear and circular world views are combined into what we might describe as a spiral, inherently circular but forever upward moving. The Hopi would refer to this as the “spiral of emergence”.
This calendar was a long count calendar which began thousands of years ago, and moved forward in time to predict humankind’s spiritual evolution. Each of these cycles have become shorter, and have been validated, over thousands of years.
The thing that is exciting right now is that on March 9th we moved into the underworld of Unity Consciousness. This cycle will come to a close on October 28th of 2011. No one on the planet will be able to escape the influence of the time. With only a little attention, you will begin to hear words like Unity, like Consciousness, like Community. It will come at you from all directions.
To be conscious is to be aware – of one’s own feelings and what is happening around you. So this time of Unity Consciousness, then, is a time when we will be moving out of individuated mind into a collective awareness.
When we embrace Unity Consciousness we are opening to our oneness. As a people. As a planet. We will begin to understand our interconnectedness as a community and as a world. And we will begin to understand this at a very deep personal level.
Can you imagine what this might mean if we all understood that what hurts our neighbor hurts us? It could mean the end of bullying. It could mean the end of greed. It could mean the end of war. Just imagine a world of compassion and kindness.
NOW IS THE TIME
All the forces of the universe have aligned to profoundly assist humankind to move into Unity Consciousness.
